Your rotary club of Tea Tree Gully was chartered on 19/4/1975, which is today. Your club completed 48 years’ service today in RI District 9510 in serving the communities across the world .
I would like to extend my warm wishes to you and to all your club members on this joyous moment.
Rotary is the only organization which has a global foot print and is working towards happy communities across the world with its noble initiatives.

Lest We Forget
At sunrise, 25th April, 2023 ANZAC DAY, crowds joined together at the Tea Tree Gully Memorial Gardens to pause and remember the soldiers of Anzac, and the dedication and sacrifice that service men and women make in the line of duty. President Ray Whalley represented Tea Tree Gully Rotary Club and was called forward to lay a wreath on behalf of Rotary International.

The Club is donating a Peace Pole to Tea Tree Gully Primary School
Today, over 70 million people are displaced as a result of conflict, violence, persecution, and human rights violations. Half of them are children.
We refuse to accept conflict as a way of life.
Rotary creates environments of peace.
As a humanitarian organization, peace is a cornerstone of our mission. We believe when people work to create peace in their communities, that change can have a global effect.
A Peace Pole is an internationally recognized symbol of the hopes and dreams of the entire human family, bearing the message May Peace Prevail on Earth in different languages on each of its four sides. The pole we are donating to Tea Tree Gully Primary School has English, Kaurna, Japanese (because the school teaches Japanese) and Auslan. President Ray showing the club at our meeting #2321
Planting a Peace Pole is a way of bringing people together to inspire, awaken and uplift the human consciousness the world over. Peace Poles are now recognized as the most prominent international symbol and monument to peace. They remind us to think, speak and act in the spirit of peace and harmony. They stand as a silent visual for peace to prevail on earth.

Adelaide’s Trees
‘WHAT’S HAPPENING TO ADELAIDE’S TREES’ was the talk given by Joanna Mills, volunteer from Conservation SA. to our Club on Wednesday night, at meeting 2304.
Joanna’s love of trees is a driving force in her volunteer work.
She spoke of trees that were removed that were hundreds of years old in our local area, one in particular that had a girth of 8.4m, a River Red Gum. This was on Golden Grove Road and removed as part of the road upgrade near the junction of Hancock Road. Initially Tea Tree Gully Council had given permission for a few trees to be felled but some 180 trees were removed.
